Westport

 

Westport is a luxurious waterfront town home to 28,000 residents. The town is split through the middle by the Saugatuck River, providing breathtaking views on both sides and endless recreational fun.

 

Westport was formerly known as ‘Green’s Farm’ due to the farming families that settled there. By the 19th century, the town turned into a bustling shipping center and transformed by the 20th century into a destination for artists, musicians and writers. Residents enjoy visiting Levitt Pavilion each summer for 50 free outdoor concerts and the Westport Library was recently reimagined in 2019 with state of the art technology, upgraded capacity for grandstand seating to take in the incredible views and much more.

 

 

 

 

Westport Country Playhouse.

 

The Westport Country Playhouse was founded in 1931 by Lawrence Langner, a New York theater producer. Many notable performers have graced the stage including Paul Newman and Liza Minnelli. Today, the Playhouse produces five shows per season and provides theater experiences such as staged readings to free community events for kids and families.
